Brian Szajna

Hometown: Genesee, WI

Highschool: Kettle Moraine '00

College: MATC

Rebel Since: 2006

Bio:

Brian Szajna was born and raised just down the street from Genesee Town Park. A throwback to the "good ole days" when 90% of the ballplayers lived within a few miles of the park, Szajna got his start in Genesee Rec Baseball where he graced the diamond with his presence for a solid year before taking his talents to the skate park where he mastered the kick flip and rail grind. After high school, Szajna attended MATC and broke into the workforce managing ACE Hardware. Currently, he is in Modular Home Sales and can build you just about anything. He felt the call back to the diamond and joined the Rebels for good in 2006. That makes him the longest tenured Rebel, by one year. Known for his love of the late Michael Jackson, his amazing ink, putting scooters down on the pavement while going 35 mph and swinging hard in case he hits it, you can't think of the Rebels without bringing Brian into the conversation. One more interesting fact about Szajna is that he is one of the few people to ever by taken off the baseball field at Genesee Town Park by ambulance and break his foot playing kickball. In all seriousness, Szajna has been a staple with the Genesee Rebels and hopefully he continues to show up for years to come.
