Bio:

Derek Urban began his baseball journey in Waukesha. The shining son of his father, Grill Master Jerry, and mother, Charming Chris, it was clear from an early age that baseball would play a large role in his life. Making his way through the ranks of little league, Urban was a force on the mound and at third base. At times, his only enemy was his own head as he occasionally looked like Ricky Vaughn before he found the strike zone. After a successful stint at Waukesha West High School under the tutelage of Coach Montez and current Rebels manager Matt DeMarais, Urban headed to UW Oshkosh. After one year of figuring out that college baseball really wasn't his cup of tea, he settled into a daily routine of reading emails, eating Tuna out of the bag, riding his bike, and playing baseball. When he's not on the bike trail, the baseball diamond, or the golf course, you can find him at his day job of Outside Sales at Crown Lift Trucks working in the Material Handling Industry.
