Eric Solberg

Hometown: Waukesha

Highschool: Waukesha West '12

College: UW Milwaukee '18

Rebel Since: 2018

Bio:

Best described as your sisters favorite player, the 27 year old enters his 4th year with the Rebels. Growing up in Waukesha, Solberg began his baseball career with the likes of Lucas Bourassa, Derek Urban, and Keith Koehn. A natural athlete, excelling in nearly everything he does while exerting very little effort, Solberg frustrated opponents time and time again with his carefree dominance on the field. While at Waukesha West, he continued the Solberg Legacy as a 4-year starter at SS. After graduating from West, he began a long and industrious career with the Milwaukee Panthers. True to his nature, Eric stepped away from baseball to find himself. Months and years of playing video games, mercilessly beating people in ping pong, and reading classics like "Crime and Punishment" he returned to the baseball field in 2018. He has found himself a home bolstering the Rebels batting order and pitching staff. Solberg stunned everyone, including himself, when he found out he could pitch side arm and dominated the league in 2019 allowing 1 earned run through 50+ innings pitched. This once upon a time team MVP looks to regain his 2019 form after an arm injury rendered him unable to pitch last season. In his spare time Eric works as a software developer and enjoys making apps for IOS devices. Don't let his ugly, casual swing at a curveball in the dirt fool you. He's gonna hit the next pitch out of the park.
