Not much is known about the past life of Matt Pestel. He burst onto the scene in Land O Lakes with the Rebels in 2020 and quickly made a name for himself winning the Southwest Divisions Rookie of the Year award. Known for his quick feet, Pestel is a wizard in the outfield and on the base paths. Growing up in Illinois must have been tough for him since, well, it's Illinois. Other than that, his childhood was most likely amazing. A multi-sport athlete in high school starring in both Baseball and Football landed him at Carroll University where he has begun his studies to enter the medical field. Although, with his quiet demeanor and love of the TV Series "Dexter" we aren't sure placing him in a room with a bunch of scalpels is a good idea. Stay tuned on that front. Hopefully Pestel lands a job in the area and is able to stick around and be a Rebel for a while. Now in his junior year at Carroll, he looks to contribute on the diamond for the Pioneers and then take his talents back to Genesee Town Park for the summer.
